Who We Are
Founder
Originally from Lithuania, I first stepped foot in the UK in 2001 to study for my Master's at the University of Manchester — and I've called this country home ever since. Over the past two decades, I've worked in many different roles across operations, finance, project management, and procurement in fast-growing SMEs.
Along the way, I've had the privilege of working with organisations like the UN World Food Programme, Transport for London, and Fujitsu, overseeing large budgets and delivering complex projects on time and within budget. I've built businesses from the ground up — and I've also had to close one when public funding changes made it impossible to continue. Both experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of making well-informed decisions.
Most recently, I completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme at Oxford University's Saïd Business School — an experience that sharpened my approach to scaling businesses with purpose and discipline.
Property investment isn't new to me — I've invested in property in Lithuania in the past. Now, with Austa Properties, I'm ready to bring that experience to the UK market. I'm putting my own money into every deal, because I wouldn't ask you to invest in something I wouldn't invest in myself.
“When I'm not weaving homes, you'll find me walking with my family and our dog Kubo in the rolling hills of the South Downs, taking sea dips in Brighton, or catching steam in one of the many wood-fired saunas around here. I'm excited for you to join myself and Austa Properties to make some beautiful homes happen.”
Our Mentor & Coach
Director, Peace of Mind Lettings Ltd.
Nicola's property journey began when she bought her first property at just 19 years old, taking in a lodger to help pay the bills while training as an accountant. After 15 years working in Safeguarding, she and her wife took a leap of faith in 2019 and went into property full time.
From 2019 to 2026, they grew from 2 small rental properties to 46 — a mixture of buy-to-lets (rented privately and as social housing) and high-quality HMOs for young professionals. Together with her business partners, she has built a property portfolio currently valued at £9 million.
As our mentor, Nicola ensures that all growth at Austa Properties is led with fairness, accountability, and balance. She believes success comes from doing the right thing for the right reason — and always ensuring that every deal is a win-win for everyone involved. Her accounting background means she brings financial rigour to every decision.
